I lived three blocks from the county fairgrounds while growing up. The rides always had huge speakers and they played the top 40 loud to attract folks. On the hot summer nights I'd sleep with the window open and you could hear the music until the wee hours. I must have heard this song a couple hundred times in a 3 day period during the summer of '74.
