Wow, I have never heard of this song, but it could be my theme song. I happen to be Hispanic, African American & Italian. I remember growing up I was made to feel so ambiguous. It seems as though I was never here nor there...not black enough...not Hispanic enough etc. But I learned to shrug it off, my race does not determine my worth.
I'm part Asian, part Caucasian...so this song speaks to me, too. The term "hapa" is Hawaiian for "half" and means someone of mixed racial ancestry. So now you know...you're hapa!
